Grass-root Level Technical Training of Field Level Health Workers of the National Rural Health Mission through ICT Induction in MP
The Health Department and National Health Mission has conducted One Day technical training program on 06th June 2019, under DASTAK Abhiyan, through NIC Cloud Based Desktop VC Setup deployed at 313 Schools and 100 Colleges (up to Block Level) under the Smart Class Room Project as part of the Knowledge transfer and Capacity Building of the ASHA, ANM and Anganwadi Workers, up to the Gram Panchayat Level, covering approximate 23100 Gram Panchayat of Madhya Pradesh. DASTAK Abhiyan is an Innovative Preventive Strategy for Addressing Mortality in under 5Y Children which covers Screening of Childhood anemia, Community management of Childhood Pneumonia, Raising community awareness on prevention of Childhood Diarrhea and Vitamin/iron deficiency etc.
Smart Class Room uses Scalable Video Coding (SVC) technology which allows and for providing a high quality of communication, even on slower devices with restricted or limited bandwidth availability. All desired learning ends (Schools & Colleges) have been provided 2 Mbps or higher Internet/Intranet connectivity from the available Service providers through hybrid technology modes like Leased Line, RF and LTE based connectivity. At NIC HQ end, High Definition SVC based Multipoint Conferencing Routers were provisioned along with High Definition Multi Point Conferencing (MCU) for cascading to multiple SVC based Multi Point Conferencing Routers. The RCVP’s Noronha Academy of Administrations has been developed as PoP for the delivery of Lectures and live demonstrations through dummies as they have been well equipped Studio for the delivery of Electronic Audio/Visual contents. Teaching end was equipped with 100 Mbps NKN connectivity and redundant SWAN connectivity. NIC has setup 24×7 call center for the testing and optimization of Audio and Video delivery for all 313 Block level and 100 College locations. NIC HQ VC team has optimized the SVC based Routers according to anticipated traffic and load of 400+ locations and made provision for seamless integration of entire Smart Class Room infrastructure.
The solution has helped in real time delivery of Audio Visual Presentation and Live demonstration through dummies by the team of various Expert Health Professionals which includes Specialized Doctors and UNICEF Representatives to approximate 15,000 grass-root levels ASHA, ANM and Anganwadi Workers. It has also allowed ASHA, ANM and Anganwadi Workers for two-way interactions which allowed them to clarify the doubt, if any, in real time.
